Sprachpunkt is located in the
legendary Kreuzberg district of Berlin

across the street from the
Gorlitzer Bahnhof U-Bahn Station (U1), between Warschauer
Straße
and Kotbusser Tor.

From
our school you can quickly and
easily get to many important places in Berlin, such as the railway
stations Ostbahnhof and Hauptbahnhof as well as to the Tempelhof
Airport. We are also not far from Alexanderplatz, Hackesche
Höfe,
and Nikolaiviertel. Only two stations away at
Mühlenstraße,
you can see a three-kilometer long piece of the Berlin Wall that is
still standing.

Kreuzberg
also has a great nightlife. The restaurants, cafes, bars, theaters,
concert halls, and clubs are
frequented often by Berliners as well as tourists from all over the
world. The diversity in food and entertainment is vast due to
Kreuzberg’s international community. For something very
special,
check out Oranienstraße which lies in the heart of Kreuzberg
and is only a few hundred meters away from our school.
The
Görlitzer Park, which is just
around the corner from PSP, is a great place for recreation or just
to take a walk after class. Also on the bank of the River Spree at
Paul-Lincke-Ufer, you can hop on a ferry which will take you through
Berlin.

For
athletes or for those of us who
just like to swim there is an indoor pool at Spreewaldplatz and
during the summer there is an outdoor swimming pool on
Prinzenstraße.

At
Hallesches Tor (just three metro
stops away), is one of the biggest and most popular libraries in
Berlin, the Amerika-Gedenkbibliothek. This library was a gift from
the USA in 1949/49 to people of Berlin, for having survived the
Soviet blockade.
On the
weekend checkout the fleamarkets
of Kreuzberg which offer a wide variety of well, pretty much anything
you can think of!
